Minutes of a Special Meeting of the
Town Council of the Town of Ellicott
held at the
Administration Building,
May 12, 2003
at 7:00 P.M.
Present: Supervisor Tyler, Councilman Lodestro, Councilman Taylor, Councilman Miller, Town Clerk Erlandson, Highway Superintendent Shellhouse. Absent: Councilman Geisler.
Supervisor
Tyler opened an Informational Meeting
on a proposal to install municipal water service to Orchard Rd. & a section
of Southwestern Dr. Mr. Tyler explained
that the proposal involves connecting to an existing line on Southwestern Dr.
in the Town of Bust. Approximately
thirty residents representing twenty-two homes were in attendance. Engineer Rex Tolman
presented estimated costs for the proposed project. The Council answered a number of questions relating to the
proposed proposal Supervisor Tyler took an informal vote to determine the
percentage of residents who are in favor if the project. The majority of homeowners in attendance
voted in favor of proceeding with the project.
The Council decided to pursue the project.
Supervisor Tyler opened a
Town Council meeting at 7:45 PM. Town
Clerk Erlandson called the roll.
RESOLUTION #84-03
Retain Engineer (Orchard Rd.
Water Service)
Motion by Supervisor Tyler,
seconded by Councilman Taylor to retain an engineer to conduct an
engineering study regarding the expansion of municipal water service to Orchard
Road and a section of Southwestern Dr. between Sunset Dr. & Hunt Rd.; and,
further, that the cost of preparing the engineering study shall be
assessed upon the properties which are to be benefited by water service.

by Supervisor Tyler, seconded by Councilman Taylor to adjourn at 7:50 PM.
