Minutes of a Regular Me= eting of the

Town Council of the Town of Ellicott

held at the Administration Buil= ding,

215 S. Work Street, Falconer, N.Y. on

October 19, 2009 at 7:00 P.M.=

 

Present: Supervisor Miller, Councilman Lodestro, Councilman Heintzelman, Town Clerk Erlandson, Highway Superintendent Shellhouse, Attorney Wright, Legislator Barmore.  Absent: Councilman Orlando, Councilman Beckerink.

 

Supervisor Miller opened the meeting at 7:00 PM and led the Town Council in the Pledge of Allegiance.    Town Clerk Erlandson called t= he roll. 

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES<= /span>

 

MOTION by Councilman Heintzelman, seconded by Councilman Lodestro to acce= pt the minutes of the October 5, 2009 meeting as presented by the Town Clerk.<= o:p>

PRIILEGE OF THE FLOOR<= /p>

Chris Yates, President, Chautauqua Lake Association thanked the Town Council for its annual support of the CLA.  He noted that the Town of Ellicott has been appropriating $10,000.00 to the CLA= for the past several years.  M= r. Yates outlined a number of the CLA’s accomplishments during the past year as well= as some of the future projects they are considering.  He also explained how the CLA obtains its funding.

 

CORRESPONDENCE

 

Town Clerk Erlandson read the following items into the record:=

 

1.      Invitation to the Octo= ber 2009 meeting of the Chautauqua Co. Association of Mayors & Superviso= rs.

2.      Falconer Fire Chief= 217;s Report: September 2009.

OLD BUSINESS

 

Town of Ellicott Comprehensive Plan= – Tabled pending further review.

 

Purchase of Town Property (Tanglewood Manor) – Supervisor Miller reported that he met with Tanglewood Manor officials to determine whether they are interested in purchasing property currently owned by the Town of Ellicott.  (Minutes 8-17-09 et. seq.)  According to Mr. Miller, Tanglewood officials want to purch= ase the property.  A sale price of $3,000.00 was agreed upon.

 

RESOLUTION #71-09

= Sale of Property to Tanglewood Manor

 

 

MOTION by Supervisor Miller, seconded by Councilman Lod= estro authorizing the sale of Town of Ellicott Tax Parcel Section 386.08, Block 3, Lot 53 (Old S-B-L: 24-4-28) to Tang= lewood Manor and NTF Properties fo= r the price of $3,000.00.

Preliminary Budget (2010) – Supervisor Miller stated that the proposed Town of Ellicott Budget for fiscal year 2010 is nearly complete.  He scheduled= a budget meeting for Oct. 26, 2009 to finalize the budget.

 

MOTION by Supervisor Miller, seconded by Councilman Heintzelman to schedule a Public Hearing for November 2, 2009 at 7:00 PM regarding the proposed budget for the Town of Ellicott for fiscal year 2010.

MOTION by Supervisor Miller, seconded by Councilman Lod= estro to pay Abstract #18 in the amount= of $138,806.08 and charge to the proper fund or accounts.
